This book made me a big fan of Ajahn Brahm. Its full of short stories to remember. After rading it, I started watching a lot of his talks on YouTube. I liked this book but I liked Ajahn Brahm videos a lot more, some of the stories in the book fall a little flat when written down, I think he is at his best when he delivers a talk. A great book for everyone no matter what religion you follow or don't follow.

Good if you need a bit of a pick-me-up. Very good book! Reader will find suggested answers for many situations from everyday life. A little repetitive, but quite good. Lots of humour, calming, reassuring read set as small stories. Deliciously funny, life teaching and with a grand finale!

Brahm has compiled a great collection of short stories and anecdotes to inspire and calm the soul. It is not a book to be read in one go, but more a book to be savored. Each story will uplift you. Great inspirational stories to reflect on my own spirituality. Many enjoyable stories. Can be read intermittently, which is nice and refreshing. To many insights all at once can be overwhelming. Not every story is particularly profound or inspirational, but more than enough are, making this well worth reading.

I found quite a few gems that will stay with me. Good for relaxation. Sep 28, Natalie S. One of the best books I ever read!

Books makes you reflect on life etc. So often it feels like the monkhood is a different realm, and this book brings into humorous focus the continuity of all our human frailties as we attempt the middle way.

Funny stories but the line that stuck with me was: 1. Freedom of Desires vs Freedom from desires. Book full of short stories after which you really feel becoming a better person and looking to life from another perspective. I like the simpleness of Buddest religion and also educational site of it. Wonderful, warm and insightful little stories. To be taken out and read again and again.

A good compliation of Brahm's stories. Wisdom and humor told in stories. This book inspires kindness to self and others and many other virtuous qualities. This is one of the best books that I've ever read. So many life lessons that make me reflect back on past choices and past actions, and how I could improve on those things.
